Hundreds of people treated their sweet tooth right on Saturday, as they came downtown for the Downtown Excelsior Partnership’s annual Chocolate Tour. A total of 400 tickets were available for the event, and every single ticket was sold well in advance of the day of the tour. More than 20 businesses put out a wide variety of chocolate treats, from brownie bites to truffles and everything in between.

In addition, two wineries set up inside the Hall of Waters, offering wine tastings to those who stopped in during the event. DEP Executive Director Lyndsey Baxter and several of the participants—both businesses and visitors—said the event was a total success, bringing both new and familiar faces into the downtown business district.

Up next for DEP is the monthly Fun, Funky Second Fridays event, set for this Friday night, Feb. 12, throughout numerous downtown businesses.
