There are still a couple of days to erase any overdue library fines at Mid Continent Public Library. If you’ve got an overdue book and owe past due fines, you have until Sunday, May 8 to bring boxed or canned non-perishable items to any MCPL location to pay off your overdue fines and help out your local community.

Each single food item will count as $1 off existing overdue fines or replacement card charges up to $10. Each item counts and additional items are appreciated. Suggested items include boxed meals, canned soup, canned meat, fruit or vegetables, peanut butter, cereal and pasta. Please do not bring expired or damaged items, glass, plastic or cardboard drink containers or open packages. Ramen noodles and other multi-pack items will be accepted at a value of four packages for $1.
