Charlie Schreiber, 72, Excelsior Springs, Mo., passed away April 10, 2016.

Charlie was born October 5, 1943 at St. Joseph Hospital to William and Florence (Hanson) Schreiber in Deadwood, S.D. He was very proud of the fact that he was raised on a ranch in Whitewood, South Dakota in the Black Hills. He was a very good, hardworking electronics technician for many years before retirement. After retirement he and his wife, Judy, traveled to all 50 states until his health declined.

Charlie was always willing to help anyone who asked, and was very generous with his time, money and knowledge. He was a good man and will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Michael Schreiber; sisters, Louise Cooper of Whitewood, S.D., and Helen Crist of Spearfish, S.D.

He is survived by his wife of almost 47 years, Judy; children, Julie (Dean) Coffey of Linwood, Kans., Daniel (April) Schreiber of Lee’s Summit, Mo., Brian and Thomas Schreiber of Excelsior Springs, Mo.; his grandsons, Isaac, Seth, Jacob Coffey, and Preston Schreiber; one granddaughter, Anna Schreiber; sisters, Johanna Turner of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Alice Yuill of La Grange, Wyo.; brother, Fred Schreiber of Pittsburgh, Texas; brother-in-law, Johnny Cooper of Whitewood, S.D.; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and in-laws.

He loved all his family dearly. Rest in peace Charlie, we love you.

Visitation was held from 10 to 11 a.m., Thursday, April 14, 2016 with Funeral Mass immediately following at St. Ann Catholic Church, Excelsior Springs, Mo. Burial at Hillcrest Cemetery, Excelsior Springs, Mo.

Arrangements are through Bross & Spidle Funeral Home, Excelsior Springs.
