A traffic stop on Monday morning near Tracy Avenue and North Jesse James Road led Excelsior Springs Police Officers on a brief foot chase that ultimately ended in the apprehension of two male subjects.
After stopping the vehicle, a male passenger, identified as Brian K. Grass, 48, fled the vehicle but was apprehended after a short chase in which Grass was felled with a Taser.
Grass was arrested on a Missouri Parole Violation warrant and was later released to the Clay County Detention Center. He was also charged with resisting arrest in municipal court.
The driver of the vehicle, George D. Cox, 52, was arrested on narcotics violations, illegal plates and no insurance.
