If you’re a collector of all things large or small, a person with several buildings full to the brim with antiques, collectibles or unique items covered in dust, you might be in the running for a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
American Pickers, a documentary series that explores the world of antique “picking” on the History Channel is coming to Missouri.
The show follows Mike Wolfe and Frank Fritz, two skilled pickers who hunt for valuable antiques ranging from motorcycles, classic cars and bicycles to one-of-a-kind vintage memorabilia and that’s just the beginning.
Wolfe and Fritz travel from coast to coast looking for interesting characters with unique items, but only pick from private collections – which means no stores, malls, flea markets, museums, auctions, business or anything open to the public.
Just a few of the items Wolfe and Fritz have an interest in finding include early furniture, old toys, pinball machines, musical instruments, game boards, taxidermy animals, early Boy Scout items, cap guns, pedal cars, old signs, clocks, crocks, trunks, wagon wheels, jukeboxes, military items and windmill weights, just to name a few.
If you or someone you know has buried treasure and would be interested in sharing it with Wolfe and Fritze, contact American Pickers at AMERICANPICKERS@CINEFLIX.COM or leave a voicemail at 1-855-OLD-RUST. Information left should include your name, town, state, phone number, where your collection is located and a description of your items, with photos if possible.
