Marvin Ray Hill

Marvin Ray Hill, 82, died February 28, 2016 at Valley Manor Nursing Facility.

Marvin was born November 28, 1933 to Charley and Fern Hill.  He married Barbara Christensen on July 25, 1953. They have been married for 62 years. She survives of the home.

Marvin worked for the City of Excelsior Springs for 17 years as the head of Public Works.  He then started his own heavy construction company in 1970.

Marvin is survived by his wife, Barbara and two sisters, Betty Trimm of Gallatin, MO and Audrey Turner, of Excelsior Springs, MO.  He is also survived by his children; Rhonda (Jim) McKown of Excelsior Springs, MO, Regina (Mark) Friday of Overland Park, KS and Mark (Myra) Hill of Excelsior Springs, MO. He leaves behind many beloved grandchildren; Ryan (Samantha) Lowry, Trent (Nicole) Lowry, Jimmy McKown, Scott (Caroline) Friday, Mallory Friday, Michaela (Tim) Dalinghaus, Alec Hill, Connor Hill and Carson Hill; three great grandchildren; Harper Friday, Reese and Grady Dalinghaus, and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Tuesday March 1, 2016 from 6-7:30 p.m. at Bross and Spidle Funeral Home. Funeral services were held March 2, 2016 also at Bross and Spidle in Excelsior Springs.
