The Excelsior Springs Area Chamber of Commerce held an open house last Thursday, Feb. 11, to show off its new digs—only they’re not exactly new, just a redesign of the office’s existing space.

Chamber volunteers designed, built and decorated a new wall that divides the office, located at 461 S. Thompson Ave., into two distinct spaces: a front office and reception area, and a back office and board room. The intent is to make the office more usable in more ways.

The open house also served as an occasion to cut the ribbon for the chamber’s trolley. Purchased and refurbished last year, the trolley is used for tours and transportation at local events, and is also available for rent.
