A regular monthly board meeting for the Good Samaritan Center turned into a very special meeting when 12-year board member Shawna Mull was recognized for her contributions.
Mull, who served four three-year terms on the Good Samaritan board, hung up her hat after giving back to the community she loves.
“We celebrated the end of my term and while I’m no longer serving on the board, I will still be available to help when needed,” said Mull. “I had a great run with the center but I would love to see some new blood on board. The services at the center mean so much to our community and it’s important for us to all play a part in helping one another.”
Good Samaritan Center Executive Director Martha Buckman said that during Mull’s tenure on the center’s board, beginning in 2003, she has been a dedicated member serving both as secretary as well as treasurer. “Shawna served loyally on a number of committees including Golf and the 5K Walk/Run,” said Buckman. “Shawna’s compassion to serving others will always be a part of Good Samaritan Center as well as this entire community. She has a real passion for those in need and promises to still be an active part of this organization.”
