Carol L. Cassell, 80, Excelsior Springs, Mo., passed away Jan. 4, 2016, at Liberty Hospital.
Carol was born Sept. 30, 1935, to George and Jesse Clevenger in Excelsior Springs, Mo. She was a member of Excelsior Springs First Baptist Church and Beta Sigma Phi. She was a bookkeeper at Gilmore for more than 30 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Donald “Red” Cazzell; daughter, Marsha Kay Cazzell; sisters, Audrey Grass and Kay Hosford; and brothers, Clarence and Gene Clevenger.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and Randy Decker; son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Tracy Cazzell; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 5, at Bross & Spidle Funeral Home in Excelsior Springs. Graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 6, at Crown Hill Cemetery, Excelsior Springs, Mo. Arrangements are through Bross & Spidle Funeral Home, 816-630-3131.
