Tuesday, October 9, 2018

1:36 a.m., Dunbar and Myrtle, Officer contacted a WF, 25 who advised she was assaulted by a WM, 44. The WM was arrested on a 24-hour hold for domestic assault.

10:32 a.m., St. Louis Avenue and Sycamore Street, An officer was dispatched on a report of a tractor trailer broken down on the hill. The vehicle was gone prior to the officer’s arrival.

11:08 a.m., 1100 block of Frontier St., Officers responded on a domestic property matter. The situation was resolved.

12:25 p.m., Patsy Lane and McCleary Road, Jeffrey Zeikle, WM, 41 and Nicholas Pardee, WM, 24 were involved in a minor accident. Parties refused medical treatment at the scene.

12:25 p.m., Patsy Lane and McCleary Road, A WM, 41 was arrested for DWI and no proof of insurance. He was booked and released with a court date.

12:58 p.m., 700 block of St. Louis Ave., Offcers checked the area on a report of a man and woman arguing throwing things. The parties were gone prior to the officer’s arrival.

1:21 p.m., 800 block of Walnut St., Officers were dispatched on a report of a couple arguing, fighting and threatening another party. They were gone prior to the officer’s arrival and no further action was requested.

2:58 p.m., 800 block of Linwood Ave., A WM, 35 reported he had been molested as a young child. He was advised of his options.

3:29 p.m., 500 block of St. Louis Ave., Officer spoke with a party regarding vandalism to his vehicle. It was determined the incident had occurred outside Excelsior Springs. He was advised to contact the appropriate agency to make a report.

4:35 p.m., 100 block of Crown Hill Road, Michael R. Hodges, WM, 57, and Norman Happy, WM, 85, were involved in a minor vehicle accident.

5:49 p.m., Thompson Avenue and South Street, Officer responded to a report of vehicle in the roadway with its emergency flashers on. The vehicle was not located.

10:00 p.m., 200 block of E. Broadway Ave., Danielle N. Shelton, WF, 23, was arrested on a local warrant for fail to appear for stealing, trespassing, possession of controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia with a cash only bond of $1000. She was booked and incarcerated.

 

Wednesday, October 10, 2018

3:07 a.m., 10 Highway and Linda Lane, Officer responded on a report of a possible intoxicated driver entering the city. Officer followed the vehicle through the city and did not observe any traffic violations.

12:23 p.m., 400 block of St. Louis Ave., Officers responded with the Fire Department and ambulance on a report of parties stuck in the elevator. The parties were extricated.

1:51 p.m., 1600 block of Meadowlark Lane, Officers took a report for fraud.

3:00 p.m., N Jesse James Road and N. Titus Avenue, Austin L. Brown, WM, 34 was arrested on a Blue Springs warrant for failure to appear for allowing an animal to run loose and no vet tags with total bond of $1,000.

6:37 p.m., 69 Highway and Patsy Lane, Offlcer responded to the area on a report of a careless driver. The suspect vehicle was not located.

7:49 p.m., 69 Highway and Tracy Avenue, Officer located an unoccupied vehicle on the side of the highway with a canine inside. An attempt to contact the owner was made with negative results. Officers will impound the canine later in the evening if the vehicle is not removed.

9:51 p.m., 600 block of South St., Officer took a report for vandalism.

 

Thursday, October 11, 2018

11:13 a.m., 1000 block of Old Time Drive, Officers investigated a domestic assault.

12:32 p.m., 400 block of S. Titus Ave., Stacey Thomas, WM, 52 was arrested for driving while intoxicated, open liquor and 12 hours detoxification. He was booked and incarcerated pending detoxification.

1:20 p.m., 69 Highway and Vintage Drive, Courtney Sutherlin, WF, 26 was involved in a one vehicle accident.

2:59 p.m., 200 block of E. Broadway Ave., Kari Hunter, WF, 30, surrendered on a local warrant for failure to appear for driving while suspended and fail to signal at KCPD. She posted $500 cash bond at KCPD and was released with a court date.

4:38 p.m., 69 Highway and S. McCleary Road, Officer responded to the area on a report of a careless driver. The suspect vehicle was not located.

6:40 p.m., 69 and 92 Highway, Officers responded to a traffic accident in which one vehicle fled the scene. The suspect vehicle was located and Ann M. Kellum, WF, 40 was arrested for leaving the scene of a traffic accident and driving while intoxicated. She was booked and incarcerated pending payment of $900 bond.

8:08 p.m., 100 block of S. Myrtle Ave., Officer took a report for domestic assault.

8:51 p.m., 500 block of Henrie Ave., Officer took a report for sexual assault.

 

Friday, October 12, 2018

6:16 a.m., 69 Highway and Rainbow Boulevard, Officer investigated a minor motor vehicle accident at the location.

11:40 a.m., 400 block of St. Louis Ave., An officer stood by for traffic control while a vehicle was removed from a ditch.

1:15 p.m., St. Louis and Sycamore Street, An officer responded on a vehicle stalled in the roadway. The vehicle was pushed down the hill to a side road and the main roadway was cleared.

1:52 p.m., 100 block of Crest Drive, An officer responded to speak to the resident regarding harassment. She was advised of her options.

2:55 p.m., Wornall and N. Jesse James Road, Jason St. John, WM, 37, was arrested for driving while suspended. He was booked in and released on his own recognizance with a court date.

5:02 p.m., 400 block of Regent Ave., Information was taken for a report regarding a sexual assault. The investigation continues.

11:06 p.m., 400 block of S. Thompson Ave., Officers responded with the Fire Department to a report of a dumpster on fire. The officers stood by until no longer needed.

11:22 p.m., 1400 block of Hospital Drive, Officers responded to a report of a runaway juvenile. The juvenile was located and released to her parent.

 

Saturday, October 13, 2018

1:03 a.m., 1800 block of Kearney Road, Officer responded to assist the fire department on a small fire with pallets involved. The fire was extinguished and officers cleared the scene.

7:12 a.m., N. Jesse James and Meadowlark Road, An officer responded to remove debris from the roadway.

5:17 p.m., US 69 Highway and Tracy Avenue, A WM, 46 was arrested and placed on a 24-hour investigative hold for felony possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and illegal plates. Carol F. Myers, WF, 48, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was booked and released with a court date.

5:59 p.m., 2200 block of Kearney Road, Officers responded to a report of an assault by a known party that had occurred previously. The investigation continues.

7:27 p.m., Isley Boulevard and Regent Avenue, Cynthia L. Smith, WF, 56, was arrested on a Clay County warrant for fail to appear for passing a bad check with a cash only bond of $200. She was transported to Clay County Detention Center.

9:33 p.m., 700 block of Isley Blvd, Officers responded to a report from a third party of a domestic assault in progress. The parties were contacted and advised it was verbal only.

11:34 p.m., 500 block of St. Louis Ave., Joshua Duncan, WM, 19 was issued a citation for trespassing. Haley Wilton, WF, 23 was issued a citation for vandalism. They were released at the scene with a court date.

1:02 a.m., 700 block of Divide St., Nathaniel Rhea, WM, 34 was arrested on three KCPD warrants for obstruct or resist, assault and obstruct or resist. His bond was set at $1500. He was booked and incarcerated pending extradition by KCPD

1:57 a.m., 600 block of Henrie Ave., Officer spoke with parties who had been involved a domestic assault. No one wanted any action taken.

12:12 p.m., 400 block of N. Titus Ave., An officer responded to retrieve a scooter that had been found in the area. The item was transported to PHQ for safekeeping until an owner could be located.

6:56 p.m., 1100 block of Rose Ave., Officers responded to a report of a verbal disturbance inside the business. One party that was contacted advised it was verbal only and the second party had left prior to officers’ arrival.

8:05 p.m., 400 block of Regent Ave., Officers responded to a report of a physical disturbance. The area was checked and no one was located.

 

Monday, October 15, 2018

3:41 a.m., 300 block of S. Kansas City Ave., Officers investigated a domestic assault.

4:40 a.m., 100 block of N. McCleary Rd, An officer responded with the Fire Department on a possible structure fire. It was determined to be a faulty heater.

4:46 a.m., 300 block of Lee St., Officers investigated a domestic assault.

7:56 a.m., 200 block of S. Kimball Ave., An officer responded to take a report for a stolen vehicle. Investigation continues.

9:17 a.m., 2200 block of Patsy Lane, Ashley Sercu, WF, 31, was arrested for shoplifting. She was booked in and released on her own recognizance with a court date.

9:40 a.m., 200 block of E. Broadway Ave., Rhonda Merrell, WF, 40 was arrested on a local failure to appear warrant for no proof of insurance and illegal plates. She was booked in with a $250 cash only bond.

11:06 a.m., 2200 block of Kearney Road, Officers responded with the Fire Department on a structure fire. Officers stood by until no longer needed.

1:24 p.m., 700 block of Northwind Drive, An officer responded to take a report for a domestic assault that occurred a few days prior. Information was obtained for a report.

3:11 p.m., 900 block of Isley Blvd., Officers responded to a report of shoplifting. A juvenile was detained and later released to a responsible party.

6:56 p.m., McCleary Road and Patsy Lane, Offices responded to the area on a report of a careless driver. The vehicle was not located.

7:07 p.m., 800 block of Corum Road, An offcer obtained information for a fraud report. The investigation continues.

7:56 p.m., Kansas City and Broadway Avenue, Ashley N. Berry, WF, 35, was arrested on two Kansas City warrants for fail to appear for driving while suspended and disorderly conduct with a total bond of $650. She was transported to Shoal Creek and released to Kansas City PD.

8:59 p.m., 300 block of Foley St., An officer spoke with a party regarding harassing and messages on social media. The party was advised of her options.

9:27 p.m., 900 block of Dorothy Ave., Officers responded to a report of a disturbance. A BM, 18, was arrested and placed on a 24-hour investigative hold for peace disturbance.
