Leona O’Dell Dye

Leona O’Dell Dye, age 94, passed away October 14, 2018, at Excelsior Springs Hospital. She was born in Excelsior Springs, Missouri, on August 3, 1924, to Ezra and Edith O’Dell.
Leona graduated from Excelsior Springs High School and she had various jobs. Until passing away, she lived alone at the Saratoga Apartments for 23 years. Leona had many friends and everyone who met her loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers: Franklin O’Dell and Ferell O’Dell.
She leaves behind a son, James Donald Lyman, and daughter-in-law, Judy Lyman; three grandchildren: James Michael Lyman, of Liberty, Missouri; Shelly Vaughn, of Excelsior Springs; and Rodney Lyman of Florida; five great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and friends.
A memorial visitation will be held on Monday, Oct. 22, 2018, from 2-3 p.m. at Bross & Spidle Funeral Home in Excelsior Springs, with a memorial service immediately following at 3 p.m.
