Linda S. Reeve
July 29, 1955 —June 6, 2018

Linda Sue (Durm) Reeve, 62, of Excelsior Springs, Mo., passed away Wednesday, June 6, 2018 as a result of pancreatic cancer. Born July 29, 1955 in Ord, Neb., she lived the first 14 years of her life in Bartlesville, Okla., before moving to the Kansas City area.

She graduated from Brigham Young University in 1976. Linda married Craig Merrill Reeve April 3, 1975 in the LDS Manti Temple in Utah. After graduating from school, they moved back to the Kansas City area where they have lived ever since.

Linda’s joy was her family and faith. Being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints allowed her opportunities to serve others. She served in leadership roles with the children, young women, and adult sisters in her church service.

She loved her children and was their best cheerleader in whatever they did. Maybe because of her, cowbells are no longer allowed in the gymnasium. Her whistles were just as loud. She was always there through the challenges that came in life.

Linda worked for Kansas City Southern Railroad for the past 22 years and enjoyed friendships she made there.

Linda and Craig have six children, all living: Wyndam (Melinda) Reeve, Windsor (Amberly) Reeve, Chelsea Reeve, Chatham Reeve, Brighton (Nash) Wilson and Bristol (Josh) Haidenthaller. They have been blessed with 15 grandchildren. Each will miss their grandmother greatly.

A visitation will be held from 4-5:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 16, with a service beginning at 6 p.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Burial will be held Monday, June 18, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Forest Hill Cemetery.

Arrangements provided by Bross and Spidle Funeral Home in Excelsior Springs, Mo.
