Tuesday, March 27

12:07 a.m., 400 block of St. Louis Ave.: Officer responded in reference to someone inside the business with a flash light. Officer checked the business, which was secured, and no one was located inside the business.

12:58 a.m., 300 block of E. Broadway Ave.: Nathan Walker-Adams, WM, 28, was arrested on a Liberty PD warrant for speeding with a bond of $600 cash. He was later released to Liberty Police Department.

4:02 a.m., 1500 block of Kearney Rd.: Officer contacted a subject who was intoxicated and walking on the roadway. The subject was provided an escort home by the officer.

5:18 a.m., 100 block of Sherri Ln.: Officer contacted Gary Johnson, WM, 45, who was arrested on a Kansas City Police Warrant for assault with a bond of $1,000. He was later released to Kansas City Police Department.

6:15 a.m., 400 block of Thompson Ave.: Officers responded on an alarm call at the business. The building was secured and nothing else was requested at this time.

7:05 a.m., 100 block of Ash St.: Officers responded on an open door at the location. The building was checked and everything was in order.

8:54 a.m., 200 block of E. Broadway Ave.: An officer provided an escort for the finance department.

9:37 a.m., 69 Hwy, and Patsy Ln.: Officer stickered a vehicle in violation.

9:52 a.m., 1500 block of Kearney Rd.: Officers responded to the area on a report of a party squatting in the woods. The property owner was notified and requested the party leave the area. The party left and nothing further was requested.

9:48 a.m., 700 block of Northwind Dr.: Officers responded on a report of suspicious activity involving juveniles. The officers conducted a welfare check on those juveniles and they were fine.

10:46 a.m., 700 block of St. Louis Ave.: An officer responded to gather information regarding a theft.

11:21 a.m., 1300 block of N. Jesse James Rd.: Animal Control Officer responded to a report of a loose dog. The dog was found and returned to its owners.

11:54 a.m., 1000 block of Miss Bell St.: Animal Control Officer responded on an excessive barking noise complaint. The officer had negative contact with the owners.

12:09 p.m., 2000 block of Kimberly Dr.: Animal Control Officer responded to check the welfare of a canine. The canine was fine.

12:44 p.m., 1200 block of St. Louis Ave.: Officer responded to a report of a suspicious travel trailer. The officer was unable to make contact with anyone inside the trailer.

3:10 p.m., Benton Ave. and Temple Ave.: Brandon A. Nix, WM, 26, was arrested for driving while revoked, turn signal violation and on an Independence PD warrant for fail to appear for traffic charges with a total bond of $800. He was released with a court date on local charges and incarcerated pending extradition by Independence PD.

2:34 p.m., 300 block of S. Main St.: Jeffrey S. Stephan, WM, 57, was arrested on a failure to appear for possession marijuana, paraphernalia, illegal plates, no motorcycle helmet, and DWI with a bond of $1500. He was taken to be held at Clay County.

2:55 p.m., 200 block of Old Orchard Ave.: An officer responded to the area to check for a vehicle on behalf of KC PD.

3:26 p.m., 800 block of Dogwood: An officer responded to speak with a party regarding her fence being opened. She was advised of her options.

3:28 p.m., 1200 block of St. Louis Ave.: Officers responded to a report of a disturbance. The parties advised it was verbal only, one party was given a trespass warning and given a courtesy ride.

3:44 p.m., 69 Hwy. and Vintage Dr.: An officer responded to the area on a report of a careless driver. The vehicle was not located.

4:09 p.m., 400 block of St. Louis Ave.: Officers contacted a party seen at the closed business. It was determined the party did have permission to be there.

7:13 p.m., 2200 block of Patsy Ln.: Officer responded to a report of drug paraphernalia found in the parking lot. The items were collected for destruction at Police Headquarters.

7:29 p.m., 2100 block of Bradford Pl.: Officers responded to a report of a disturbance involving an intoxicated party. A WM was detained for a 12-hour detox. He was later released due to a medical concern and transported by ambulance.

10:55 p.m., 2100 block of Bradford Pl.: Officer stood by while a party was evaluated by EMS for an unknown medical concern.

11:31 p.m., Maple Ave. and Henrie Ave.: Officer responded to a report of loud music from a residence. The area was checked, but no loud music was found.

 

Wednesday, March 28

12:24 a.m., Isley Blvd. and Linda Ln.: Officer attempted to stop a vehicle, which failed to yield and left the city limits. Investigation Continues.

12:31 a.m., Main St. and Kansas St.: Officer contacted a WM, 31, in reference to a 24-hour hold for leaving the scene of an accident. Investigation Continues.

4:33 a.m., Temple and Benton Ave.: Tyler Icenhour, WM, 24, was arrested on a Kansas City warrant for stealing with a bond of $1,000. He was later released to Kansas City PD. Officer also contacted a WM, 27, who was detained on a 24-hour hold for possession of a controlled substance and no turn signal.

9:01 a.m., 900 block of Isley Blvd.: John Knipker, WM, 61, reported vandalism to a retaining wall at John’s Super. Investigation continues.

9:23 a.m., 200 block of E. Broadway Ave.: An escort was conducted for the Finance Department.

11:27 a.m., 200 block of E. Broadway Ave.: Zachary Coursen, WM, 27, was arrested on a Liberty PD warrant for failure to appear for speeding. His bond was set at $600. He was booked and incarcerated pending extradition by Liberty.

1:11 p.m., 1100 block of St. Louis Ave.: An officer spoke with an individual about a civil matter. The party was advised of her options.

1:34 p.m., 1500 block of Kearney Rd.: Officers checked on parties who were dressed in camouflage and carrying a shotgun. The parties were just waiting for a ride. They were advised to return to the store where they made the purchase and wait for their ride there.

1:52 p.m., 1100 block of Tracy Ave.: An officer spoke with a party about a juvenile harassing her son. She was advised of her options.

1:52 p.m., 400 block of Concourse Ave.: Officers responded on a report of kids playing on the roof of a residence. The juveniles and babysitter were counseled on their actions.

2:06 p.m., 1900 block of Wornall Rd.: Officers responded on a report of a vehicle stuck in a muddy field. Officers stood by while the vehicle was removed from the field.

3:11 p.m., 400 block of Greenspire: An officer gathered information on a runaway juvenile. The officer will continue looking for the juvenile.

3:13 p.m., 200 block of N. Jesse James Rd.: Officers responded to a report of a disturbance. The party was gone prior to the officers arrive but will be trespassed from the business when contacted.

3:19 p.m., 1100 block of Tracy Ave.: An officer responded to a report of a male party on a bike riding past a residence and yelling. The party was gone prior to the officer’s arrival.

3:31 p.m., 200 block of N. Jesse James Rd.: An officer located a stray canine. The canine was taken to the animal shelter.

4:22 p.m., 700 block of Crown Hill Rd.: Animal Control Officer took a report on a noise complaint of a barking canine.

4:25 p.m., 500 block of S. Kansas City Ave.: Officers responded to a report of a domestic assault in progress. One party was gone prior to officers’ arrival. The area was checked, but the party was not located.

4:38 p.m., 2000 block of W. Jesse James Rd.: Officers spoke with a party regarding concern for a family member refusing to seek medical attention. The party was counseled and agreed to allow family to take to hospital.

5:36 p.m., 500 block of Tiger Dr.: An officer responded with EMS to a report of an unresponsive party. The officer stood by until the party was transported by ambulance.

5:45 p.m., 80 block of East St.: Officers responded to a report of an unknown WM found in a vacant residence. A WM and WF were contacted and issued trespass warnings for the residence.

 

Thursday, March 29

8:45 a.m., 600 block of Isley Blvd.: Officer attempted to unlock a vehicle for a party. The vehicle seemed to have a malfunction and the owner will be contacting the manufacturer for assistance.

9:22 p.m., 200 block of E. Broadway Ave.: An escort was conducted for the Finance Department

10:25 a.m., 500 block of St. Louis Ave.: Haley Wilton, WF, 22, was arrested on two Richmond PD warrants for larceny. Her total bond was set at $525. She was transported to Ray County Detention and released to them.

11:20 a.m., 300 block of S. Main St.: A party was fingerprinted for employment purposes.

12:35 p.m., 1000 block of Frontier St.: An officer spoke with a party about a civil matter.

1:03 p.m., 69 Hwy. and Crown Hill Rd.: Amber Tate, WF, 22, and Jeffery Kirk, WM, 45, were involved in a minor accident.

1:49 p.m., 1300 block of Lake Maurer Rd.: Officer responded to the lobby to speak with a party regarding possible fraud. It was determined the crime occurred in another state. The party was advised to contact the appropriate agency.

1:59 p.m., 2200 block of Patsy Ln.: Officer responded to Walmart on a report of solicitors that were refusing to leave. The solicitors were gone prior to officer’s arrival.

3:11 p.m., Woods Ave. and Trask St.: Officer responded to the area on a report of a careless driver. The suspect vehicle was gone prior to officer’s arrival.

4:09 p.m., 2200 block of Patsy Ln.: Alexzander Z. Howard, WM, 18, and Jacob E. Defries, WM, 20, were arrested for shoplifting. They were booked in and released with a court date.

4:37 p.m., 1100 block of Rose Ave.: Officer spoke with parties regarding vandalism to an employee’s vehicle. The parties were advised of their options.

5:14 p.m., 300 block of S. Main St.: Officer spoke with a party regarding suspected narcotic activity. Information was taken for the investigation unit.

5:30 p.m., 400 block of N. Thompson Ave.: Jordan W. Seller, WM, 21, was arrested on a Caldwell County felony warrant for rape with a $250,000 cash only bond. He was transported to Clay County Detention to await extradition.

6:16 p.m., 500 block of St. Louis Ave.: Officers responded to a report of an under-age party outside the business asking customers to buy him tobacco products. A WM, 18, was issued a trespass warning.

7:11 p.m., 1400 block of Neil Ln.: Officer responded to the residence to speak with a party regarding harassment. The party was advised of his options.

7:58 p.m., 2000 block of W. Jesse James Rd.: Dylan S. Kirtley, WM, 18, was arrested for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Ashley N. Sercu, WF, 30, was arrested for possession of controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Both parties were booked and released with a court date.

7:58 p.m., 200 block of E. Broadway Ave.: Amy N. Moore, WF, 41, was arrested on a local warrant for failure to appear for possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and no proof of insurance. She was later released after posting $500 cash-only bond.

9:04 p.m., 600 block of Old Orchard Ave.: Officer responded to a report of possible drug paraphernalia found which had led to a dispute between the parties at the residence. The parties were advised of their options and the paraphernalia was confiscated.

9:08 p.m., 900 block of Dorothy St.: Officers responded to a report of a disturbance between a juvenile and his parents. The parties advised it was verbal only. A responsible family member agreed to pickup the juvenile for the evening.

11:03 p.m., 1600 block of Meadowlark Ln.: Officers responded to a report of a party sitting in a vehicle for over an hour. A WF was contacted and no problems were found.

 

Friday, March 30

12:12 a.m., 1300 block of Persimmon Dr.: Officer contacted Michael Edgar, WM, 41, who wanted to report his WIC vouchers missing. Officer took a report so the items could be replaced by the state.

5:33 a.m., 200 block of S. McCleary Rd.: Officers responded to check on an abandoned vehicle.

7:28 a.m., 1800 block of W. Jesse James Rd.: Officers responded to check on a WM and a BM were acting suspiciously. Upon arrival, one party fled on foot. Investigation Continues.

7:49 a.m., 100 block of Northwind Dr.: Lauren Blaker, WF, 29, was involved in a non-injury accident when her vehicle struck a parked vehicle.

9:36 a.m., 69 and Wornall Rd.: An officer located a canine that was running loose near the highway. The canine was captured and taken to the animal shelter.

11:02 a.m., 1000 block of Rose Ave.: Officers responded to check on a tent that is possibly being occupied by homeless parties. The area was checked and no one was located.

11:44 a.m., 1900 block of W. Jesse James Rd.: Darren Spor, WM, 32, was arrested on a Claycomo warrant for possession of marijuana with a bond of $963. He was later released to Claycomo PD.

12:35 p.m., 100 block of Collette St.: Officer placed a 72-hour tow sticker on a vehicle which was parked without proper registration.

12:37 p.m., 300 block of Persimmon Dr.: Officers responded on a request to check the welfare of the resident who had not been heard from in several days. Contact was made with the resident and everything was fine.

2:52 p.m., 800 block of St. Louis Ave.: Officer responded to speak with the resident regarding being harassed by her neighbor. All parties involved were contacted and advised of their options.

4:22 p.m., 700 block of Magnolia Ave.: Officers responded to the area on a report of a careless driver. The suspect vehicle was located and the driver was warned.

4:51 p.m., 1900 block of W. Jesse James Rd.: Officer responded to Quick Shop to speak with management regarding a vehicle left in the parking lot. Management was advised of their options and nothing further was requested.

7:08 p.m., 100 block of Kevin St.: Officer met with a party in the lobby concerning a traffic issue. Extra patrol was requested.

7:31 p.m., 1700 block of W. Jesse James Rd.: Billy F. Evans, WM, 41, and Megan E. Converse, WF, 26, were involved in a non-injury traffic accident.

8:55 p.m., E. Broadway Ave. and Elizabeth St.: Mariah E. Baird, WF, 18, was arrested for possession of marijuana and no valid driver’s license. Desmond A. Calton WM, 17, was arrested for possession of marijuana. Both parties were booked and released on their own recognizance with a court date.

9:47 p.m., 400 block of S. Kansas Cite Ave.: Officer took a report for a theft.

11:15 p.m., Benton and Saratoga: Lauren Blaker, WF, 29, was arrested for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Jason Wilson, WM, 43, was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia and no tail lights.

11:38 p.m., 700 block of Park Ave.: Officers responded to the residence on a report of an unknown party inside the house. It was determined to be the dog in the attic and nothing further was requested.

 

Saturday, March 31

2:28 a.m., Happy Ln. and Vintage Dr.: Prince Allen, BM, 31, was arrested for possession of controlled substance and open liquor. Donald Ellington, BM, 25, was arrested for fail to keep right, littering, possession of marijuana and no insurance. They were both released after the booking process.

10:09 a.m., 500 block of Isley Blvd.: An officer located an open door to a residence. The residence was checked and it was determined the door had not been latched properly. The door was secured.

11:34 a.m., 1100 block of St. Louis Ave.: Barbara Vermillion, WF, arrested on a Clay County warrant for possession of a controlled substance with a bond of $50,000. She was later released to Clay County.

12:46 p.m., 400 block of Isley Blvd.: An officer responded on a 911- hang up call. It was determined a child was playing with the phone and no assistance was needed.

1:43 p.m., 900 block of Martin Ave.: An officer responded to speak with the resident regarding an issue with her neighbor. Extra patrol was requested and she was advised of her options.

2:52 p.m., 600 block of N. Kent St.: Animal Control Officer responded on a complaint of a failure to restrain a canine. Contact was made with the owner and a warning was issued.

2:55 p.m., 1900 block of W. Jesse James Rd.: An officer responded to check the area for two parties that were walking very close to the roadway. The area was checked and the parties were not located.

3:15 p.m., Kevin St. and Kearney Rd.: An officer responded to a report of reckless driving. The driver was counseled on his actions.

4:10 p.m., 100 block of Carla St.: An officer responded to a noise complaint. The party was talked to and counseled.

5:29 p.m., St. Louis Ave. and S. Titus Ave.: An officer responded to a report of a reckless driver. The vehicle was not located.

5:32 p.m., 2200 block of W. Ivory Cir.: Officers responded to a report of a domestic assault. Information was gathered for a report. Nothing further was requested.

5:49 p.m., 400 block of S. Kansas City Ave.: Officers responded to a report of a domestic disturbance. One party was gone prior to the officer’s arrival. The other party was advised of her options. Nothing further was requested at this time.

6:05 p.m., 300 block of S. Main St.: Tonya A. Lindsay, WF, 52, was arrested on a failure to appear warrant for no insurance and no valid operators license. She was booked and has a bond of $500.

6:17 p.m., 69 Hwy. and Patsy Ln.: An officer responded to a report of a reckless driver. The vehicle was gone prior to the officer’s arrival.

6:52 p.m., 100 block of Crown Hill Rd.: An officer responded to a report of a reckless driver. The vehicle was not located.

7:17 p.m., S. Kansas City Ave. and Chillicothe: Noah J. Jordan, WM, 27, was arrested on a Ray County warrant for probation violation. He was released to Ray County.

7:37 p.m., 1200 block of W. Forest Ln.: Officers responded to a report of a residential burglary alarm. The owner was contacted and it was determined to be an accidental trip.

8:02 p.m., 400 block of St. Louis Ave.: An officer responded with EMS to a medical call. The officer stood by until he was no longer needed.

8:04 p.m., 100 block of S. Kansas City Ave.: Jeremy L. Claypole, WM, 32, was arrested on a failure to appear warrant for trespassing. He was booked and has a bond of $500.

8:44 p.m., 1700 block of W. Jesse James Rd.: An officer responded on a request for a welfare check. The officer made contact with the party and he was fine.

9:53 p.m., Temple Ave. and Isley Blvd.: Seth A. Forstner, WM, arrested for lane violation, no insurance, minor in possession of alcohol, and possession of marijuana. Mitchell C. Berndt, WM, 17, was arrested for minor in possession of alcohol, open container, and possession of marijuana. Both parties were booked and released on their own recognizance with a court date.

9:59 p.m., 69 Hwy. and Patsy Ln.: Officer responded to the area on a report of a careless driver. The suspect vehicle was not located.

10:15 p.m., 500 block of Summit St.: An officer responded with EMS on a medical call. The officer stood by until he was no longer needed.

11:05 p.m., Wabash Ave, and Lake Maurer Rd.: Officers responded to a loud music complaint. The officers did not hear any music.

11:26 p.m., 500 block of St. Louis Ave.: Jerimy A. Helm, WM, 42, was arrested on six Jackson County warrants for speeding x2, no insurance x2, and display unlawful plates x2 with total bond of $3,000.

 

Sunday, April 1

1:57 a.m., 600 block of S. Kansas City Ave.: Officers responded to the area on a report of a tree down across the roadway. Officers provided traffic control until the Street Department could remove the tree.

3:51 a.m., 400 block of Regent Ave.: Alice E. Conway, WF, 54, reported her cell phone stolen.

4:22 a.m., H Hwy. and McKee Rd.: Officers responded to the area on a report of a subject possibly en route to our city in a stolen vehicle. The suspect vehicle was not located.

8:19 a.m., 300 block of S. Main St.: Jeremy Claypole, WM, 32, was arrested on a Caldwell County warrant for failure to appear with a cash only bond of $500.

9:40 a.m., 300 block of S. Kansas City Ave.: An officer responded to the lobby to speak with a party regarding known parties trespassing and sleeping in the hallway of the apartment complex. Contact was made with the owner of the building and he advised he would like the parties trespassed from the building.

2:28 p.m., Kearney Rd. and Titus Ave.: Officers responded with EMS on a minor injury accident.

2:39 p.m., Isley Blvd. and Linda Ln.: Officers responded on a one vehicle accident. It was determined to be outside of our city limits.

3:32 p.m., Kearney Rd. and N. Titus Ave.: Steven Rice, WM, 70, and Carolyn Rice, WF, 68, were involved in a single vehicle traffic accident. Minor injuries were reported.

3:19 p.m., 600 block of Tiger Dr.: Bradley Short, WM, 46, was involved in a single vehicle traffic accident. No major injuries were reported.

5:45 p.m., N. Titus Ave. and Wornall Rd.: An officer responded to a report of possible animal cruelty. Due to little information given the officer was unable to locate the residence.

9:10 p.m., 1700 block of Rainbow Blvd.: Galen R. Robertson, WM, 55, was arrest on a Ray County warrant for two counts of failure to appear with a bond of $350.

11:02 p.m., Garden Ln and N. Jesse James Rd.: Joshua A. Venuto, BM, 24, was arrested for driving while suspended and speeding. He was booked and released from our charges with a court date.

11:22 p.m., Kearney Rd. and N. Titus Ave.: Jacob R. Elder, WM, 29, was arrested on a North Kansas City warrant for tampering with a motor vehicle with bond of $500.

11:35 p.m., 300 block of S. Main St.: Joshua A. Venuto, BM, 24, was arrested on four Kansas City PD warrants with a total bond of $1500. He was later released to KCPD custody.

 

Monday, April 2

12:38 a.m., Pierson St. and N. Jesse James Rd.: Joshua R. Waltiere, WM, 23, was arrested on a Nodaway County warrant for stealing with bond of $1195.50, cash-only.

1:20 a.m., 200 block of E. Broadway Ave.: Charles E. Lindsay, WM, 55, was arrested on a local warrant for failure to appear to show cause why fines were not paid with cash payout of $243. Additional charges are pending.

5:47 a.m., 69 Hwy. and Tracy Ave.: Officer removed an item from the roadway that was causing a traffic hazard.

6:19 a.m., 40 block of Benton Ave.: An officer responded to check the area for a party that was knocking on the door of the residence and would not leave. The area was checked and the party was not located.

8:50 a.m., 200 block of Garden Ln.: Officer responded on a request for a welfare check of a party who had not been heard from for a few weeks. Contact was made and he advised he would contact the calling party.

9:04 a.m., 200 block of E. Broadway Ave.: An officer conducted an escort for the finance department.

11:18 a.m., 300 block of S. Main: An officer received information from a psychiatric assessor.

1:57 p.m., 200 block of E. Broadway Ave.: Jeffery Coleman, WM, 44, was arrested on two local failure to appear warrants. He was booked in with a cash only bond of $1,000.

5:37 p.m., 400 block of Regent Ave.: A detective requested a report for a forcible rape which occurred on an earlier date. Investigation continues.

4:15 p.m., 700 block of St. Louis Ave.: Officer responded to a speak with a party regarding threats. The party was advised of his options.

4:34 p.m., 700 block of Ruby St.: Officer responded on a request for a welfare check. While en route to the residence, the reporting party advised she made contact with the individual and everything was fine.

5:08 p.m., 100 block of Southside Ct.: Officer responded to a report of a residential burglary alarm. The alarm was an accidental trip.

6:00 p.m., 300 block of S. Kansas City Ave.: Officer responded to speak with a party regarding someone trespassing. The party was advised of her options.

6:50 p.m., 200 block of S. Kansas City Ave.: A WM, 37, was placed on a 24-hour investigative hold for domestic assault.

6:56 p.m., 200 block of South St.: Officer responded to a report of a residential alarm. The officers did not locate anyone on the property.

7:33 p.m., 700 block of Tiger Dr.: An officer responded to a report of suspicious activity. Extra patrol was conducted in the area throughout the night.

7:35 p.m., 600 block of Prospect Dr.: Officers responded with EMS on a medical call. They stood by until they were no longer needed.

9:01 p.m., 200 block of Fine St.: An officer responded to a report of threatening comments. Both parties were trespassed from each other’s residences.
