Eva Marie Minnis DeArmon
April 30, 1944—February 11, 2018

Eva Marie Minnis DeArmon, of Excelsior Springs, Mo., passed away Saturday, Feb. 11, 2018 at Excelsior Springs Nursing and Rehab.  Eva was 73 years, 10 months.

Eva was born at home in Chillicothe, Mo., on April 30, 1944 to Clyde and Edith Minnis.

Eva was a member of Woods Memorial Christian Church. Eva enjoyed her church family, her home and travel. She previously worked at Orbseal for 13 years.

Eva was preceded in death by her son Jason Lee Stephens who was in the U.S. Navy.

Eva leaves behind three living daughters: Tammy M. Grimes, of North Kansas City; Michelle Sharp, of Excelsior Springs, as well as Candice R. Stephens of Excelsior Springs; three stepdaughters: Margot M. Scott, of Excelsior Springs, Amy A. White, of Gladstone Mo., and Jenny R. Fish, of Excelsior Springs. Eva has 15 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren with one great-grandchild due this summer. Eva is also survived by sisters: Bonny Thompson, Mary Hibner, Doris Hussey, Lucille Powers and Carolyn McCracken.

She also leaves her husband of 36 years, Barney L. DeArmon, of Excelsior Springs, plus many, many friends.

Eva’s visitation will be at Bross and Spidle Funeral Home in Excelsior Springs, Mo., on Monday, Feb. 19 at 9 a.m. with funeral following at 10 a.m. Interment will follow services at the Arkadelphia Livingston County Cemetery. Services will be led by longtime friend, and elder, Mike Britt.
