January 26, 2018 — Coach Melanie Barnes led the eighth grade Lady Tigers to a victory in the last home game of the season against the Harrisonville Wildcats on Thursday, Jan. 18.
Barnes got the Lady Tigers offense rolling quickly in the first quarter scoring a total of 8 points to kick off the intense game. Kyli Crowley scored 3 of the first 8 points in the quarter.
The Harrisonville Wildcats defense limited the Tigers ability to score a total of 4 points in the second quarter, closing out the half with a total of 12 points.
After a low scoring second quarter, Barnes got the offense going again in the third. Ashlon McIntosh scored four of the six points scored. McIntosh finished the game with a total of eight points for the Tigers.
In the fourth quarter, Rylie Stottlemyre scored a jump shot and the rest of the Lady Tigers went 4 for 12 at the free throw line.
The Lady Tigers won 24-14 over the Harrisonville Wildcats.
