Lydia Mae Veach

Lydia Mae Veach, 90, of Excelsior Springs, Mo., passed away Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2018. Lydia was born June 6, 1927 to William and Thelma (Smith) Duncan in Orrick, Mo. She worked for many years at Lake City Ammunition Plant. She was a member of Unity Village Church. Lydia enjoyed dancing with her close friend Harold.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Andrew James Veach; son, James William Veach; infant twins, Barbara and Dewayne Barber; and sister, Jacki Clevenger.
She is survived by her daughter, Gail and husband John McGovern; sister, Betty Hoagland; grandchildren, Michelle and husband Tyler Edwards, Rhonda Bradshaw, Tommy and wife Trisha George; and 7 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held 10-11 a.m., Friday, Jan. 26 at Bross and Spidle Funeral Home with graveside service following at Crown Hill Cemetery, Excelsior Springs, Mo. In lieu of flowers the family suggest contributions to charity of donor’s choice.
