5:41 a.m., 2200 block of Patsy Ln.–Officer responded and stood by until some subjects had left the area, who appeared to be looking to steal items.
7:54 a.m., N. Jesse James Rd. and Wornall Rd.–Officers were dispatched on a report of a party following her daughter who had reportedly threatened to drive her vehicle off a bridge. The parties were located and contacted. Officers escorted the parties to their residence. Nothing further was requested.
10:40 a.m., 1200 block N. Jesse James Rd.–Officers responded on a hold up alarm at Express Stop. There was no problem. The alarm had been set off accidentally.
11:05 a.m., 500 block of N. Kimball Ave.–Officers contacted parties involved in a verbal disturbance. The parties were separated, counseled and agreed to leave the area.
12:21 p.m., 700 block of St. Louis Ave.–Steven Grubbs, WM, 54 and Ronald Nelson, WM, 58 were involved in a minor accident at Job Corps.
1:18 p.m., 2200 block of E. Ivory Circle–Officers responded and spoke with parties about a disagreement of some clothing. The parties agreed to allow the owner to come get her clothes.
1:50 p.m., 69 Hwy. and McCleary Rd.–Officers checked the area for a vehicle reported to be driving carelessly. The vehicle was not located.
1:59 p.m., 2000 block of W. Jesse James Rd.–Carissa Huff, WF, 30 was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of drugs. She was booked and released with a court date.
3:06 p.m., E. Ivory Circle and Greenspire St.–An officer contacted the party responsible for a vehicle reported to have been driven carelessly in the area. The party was counseled.
3:11 p.m., Isley Blvd. and Regent St.–Travis Darby, BM, 22 and Shannon Graves–Schreier, WF, 33, were involved in a minor injury accident. Treatment was refused at the scene. Shannon Graves–Schreier was arrested on a Ray County warrant for failure to maintain financial responsibility with a bond of $200. She was booked and incarcerated pending extradition.
4:43 p.m., Crown Hill Rd. and Corum Rd.–Charles Harkins Ill, WM, 48 and Skyler Smith, WF, 18 were involved in a minor accident.
5:09 p.m., Concourse Ave. and S. Kansas City Ave.–Officers responded to the area on a report of a male party brandishing a weapon at another driver during a road rage incident. The male party was not located.
5:54 p.m., 69 Hwy. and Patsy Ln.–Officers responded to the area on a report of a careless driver. The area was checked, and the vehicle was gone prior to officer’s arrival.
8:55 p.m., 300 block of W. Excelsior St.–Officers responded to the residence on a report of an unwanted party. Officers stood by until the party collected his property and left the area.

2:40 a.m., 200 block of Miller Ave.–Officer responded on a barking canine call at the location. Officer contacted the owner, who took the canines inside for the night.
2:55 a.m., 100 block of Greenwood Ave.–Michelle Priest, WF, 46, was arrested on a Ray County warrant for failure to appear in court with a bond of $26,000 cash. She was released to the Ray County Detention Center.
5:25 a.m., 400 block of Regent Ave.–Officers responded in reference to a possible burglary at an area residence.
6:08 a.m., 400 block of St. Louis Ave–Officers responded in reference to a homeless party sleeping in the back of the business. The subject agreed to leave the area at officer’s request.
8:49 a.m., 200 block of E. Broadway Ave–An escort was conducted for the Finance Department.
10:55 a.m., 300 block of S. Main St.–Officer spoke with a party who stated he had a headache. Officer stood by with the party until an ambulance arrived.
11:20 a.m., 200 block of South St.–Officers were dispatched on a report of a residential alarm. The building was secure and there was no one around.
11:50 a.m., Kansas City Ave. and Broadway–Officers contacted parties who had been reportedly hitting each other and pushing each other to the ground. The parties denied any physical altercation.
12:40 p.m., 300 block of Zay Dr.–Officers were dispatched on a report of a residential alarm. The residence was secure and there was no one around.
12:48 p.m., 700 block of Crown Hill Rd.–Officer responded on a report of a fire alarm at the Middle School. The alarm was determined to be false.

2:11 p.m., 100 block of Miller Ave.–Officers stood by with a party while he contacted his estranged wife to have her sign paperwork. No problems were encountered.
2:31 p.m., 2000 block of W. Jesse James Rd.–Jenelle Sharp, WF, 30, was arrested on a Probation and Parole warrant for a probation violation. There was no bond. She was released to Clay County on the scene.
3:38 p.m., 1700 block of W. Jesse James Rd.–A shoplifting occurred at Y Liquor. Investigation continues.
3:40 p.m., 2000 block of W. Jesse James Rd.–Officer responded to a report of a strange odor suspected to be associated with drugs. The area was checked, but no odor was located.
4:28 p.m., 200 block of Valley St.–Officer responded to a request from Clay County Children’s Division to check the welfare of a juvenile accidentally taken to a residence after school. The juvenile was fine and stayed with the officer until a guardian could arrive.
5:06 p.m., 2000 block of W. Jesse James Rd.–Officers responded to a request from Clay County Children’s Division to check the welfare of a juvenile following a report from the school. The juvenile and his mother were contacted, and everything was fine.
5:14 p.m., 2000 block W. Jesse James Rd.–Erin R Lawson, WF, 39, reported damage to her vehicle due to a leaving the scene accident which occurred outside her residence. The investigation continues.
5:16 p.m., 200 block of Fine St.–Officer responded to speak with a party concerned about statements made by a juvenile regarding activities at his home. It was determined the juvenile just did not want to go home and was fine. He was released to a parent.
5:54 p.m., 500 block of Leavenworth Ave.–Officer responded to Lewis Elementary regarding parties locked in a bathroom. The janitor was contacted and was able to unlock the door.
6:48 p.m., 100 block of Dunbar Ave.–Officer collected needles that were found for destruction at Police Headquarters.
7:03p.m., 100 block of Cliff Dr.–Officer spoke with a party regarding parties threatening and harassing him. He was advised of his options.
7:25 p.m., Saratoga Ave and Isley Blvd.–Jose L. Diaz–Lira, HM, 34, was arrested for driving while revoked and expired plates. He was booked and released with a court date.
8:32 p.m., 900 block of Dunbar Ave.–Officers responded to a report of a party seen lying in the creek. The area was checked, but no one was found.
9:05 p.m., 200 block of S. Kansas City Ave.–Officers responded to a report of noises heard from a vacant residence. The residence was checked, and no problems were found.
9:20 p.m., Broadway Ave. and Main St.–Justin E. Ard, WM, 25, was arrested for driving while suspended and headlamps required. He was booked and released with a court date for local charges. He was arrested on a parole violation warrant with no bond and transported to Clay County Detention Center.
9:22 p.m., 700 block of Magnolia Ave.–A WM, 22, was arrested and placed on a 24–hour hold for domestic assault.
11:14 p.m., 100 block of Kevin St.– Officers responded to a report of a domestic assault. Information was taken for a report.
11:48 p.m., Kearney Rd. and Old Orchard Ave.–Sean R. Mejia, WM, 40, was arrested on a Gladstone PD warrant for fail to appear for traffic violations with a $1000 cash–only bone. He was later released to Gladstone PD.

9:51 a.m., 300 block of S. Main St.–Justin Ard, WM, 25 was arrested on a Riverside warrant for driving while suspended. His bond was set at $500. He was booked and incarcerated pending extradition.
10:20 a.m., 1700 block of W. Jesse James Rd.–Officer checked the welfare of a party after citizen expressed concern for her wellbeing. The party advised that she was fine but had gotten light–headed earlier due to not eating a good breakfast. The party did not appear to be impaired.
10:29 a.m., 600 block of Kimberly Dr.–Officers checked a residence for a juvenile reported missing from Kearney. The party was not located, and the resident advised she had last seen him yesterday at school.
10:51 a.m., Persimmon Dr. and Greenwood Ave.–Officer checked the area on a complaint of a suspicious vehicle and person. The vehicle was not located.
11:29 a.m., 300 block of S. Main St.–A party was fingerprinted for travel purposes.
11:56 a.m., 400 block of Dunbar Ave.–Officers contacted owner of dog that was running at large. They took the canine inside and they were warned against allowing the canine to run loose.
12:53 p.m., 100 block of Murray Dr.–Officers responded with the ambulance on a report of a party threatening self–harm.
2:43 p.m., 500 block of Summit St.– Marilyn M. Bennett, WF, 45, was arrested on a Clay County warrant for failure to appear for passing bad checks with a cash only bond of $1500. She was transported to Clay County Detention Center.
3:17 p.m., 1200 block of Michelle Dr.–Officer located a juvenile reported missing out of Kearney. The juvenile was released to his parent.
3:59 p.m., 500 block of Leavenworth Ave.–Animal control officer impounded a stray canine.
4:16 p.m., 1900 block of W. Jesse James Rd.–Officer assisted a business with paperwork needed for license renewal.
4:21 p.m., 300 block of S. Main St.–Officer spoke with a party regarding a scam email received. The party was advised of his options.
4:29 p.m., 2000 block of W. Jesse James Rd.–Officer obtained information regarding property lost at Walmart.
4:57 p.m., 200 block of E. Broadway Ave.–Michael A. Watson, WM, 18, was arrested on a local fail to appear warrant for minor in possession of alcohol and tobacco, stealing and fail to answer to an order for a revocation hearing. He was incarcerated pending payment of $1,386 cash only bond.
5:39 p.m., Crown Hill Rd. and Kearney Rd.–Officer responded to a report of a party who appeared to be in distress. The area was checked, but the party was not located.
6:15 p.m., 69 Hwy. and 33 Hwy.–Officer responded to a report of a careless driver possibly entering the city. The vehicle was not located.
6:19 p.m., 300 block of N. Thompson Ave.–Officer assisted a semi–truck which was stuck on a residential street.
8:39 p.m., 400 block of E. Excelsior St.–Officers responded on a report of a male party passed out in the street. Dennis D Sherwood, WM, 60, was arrested for open liquor, assault on law enforcement officer and resisting detention. He was booked and incarcerated with a bond of $950.
9:55 p.m., 2000 block of Patsy Ln.–Officer spoke with a party in the lobby of PHQ regarding an incident that was determined to have not occurred.
10:03 p.m., 100 block of Haynes St.–A BM 24 was arrested and placed on 24–hour hold for rape.
10:10 p.m., 700 block of Magnolia Ave.–Officer responded to a report of an unwanted party at the residence. The party agreed to leave without incident.
10:51 p.m., 2000 block of W. Jesse James Rd.–Officer responded to a noise complaint due to a neighboring apartment running a loud fan. It was determined there were no problems as the fan was a heater supplied by management.
11:49 p.m., 300 block of S. Main St.–Officer responded with the ambulance to the hospital with a prisoner who complained about having medical problems. Officers stood by and then transported the subject back to the station and he was incarcerated.

12:54 a.m., 1400 block of Neil Ln.–Officer responded in reference to someone in a sitting in a vehicle with a loud muffler and keeping her awake. Officer checked the area and the vehicle was already gone from the area.
4:36 a.m., 600 block of Patrick Dr.–Officer responded in reference to an unsecured garage door at the residence. Officer checked the residence, and everything appeared in order and the door was secured.
7:46 a.m., 600 block of Beverly Ave.–An officer responded on a report of a vehicle stopped in the middle of the roadway. Contact was made, and it was determined the vehicle was disabled. The vehicle was removed from the roadway.
8:33 a.m., Broadway Ave. and Penn St.–An officer responded to the lobby to retrieve two sets of keys that were found in the area.
9:10 a.m., 100 block of Collette St.–An officer responded to the lobby to take a report for an assault that occurred overnight. Information was obtained.
9:43 a.m., 100 block of Vaughn St.–Officers responded with EMS on a 3rd party report of a possible suicide attempt. Contact was made with a WF, 56, who advised it was a misunderstanding and no medical attention was needed. Officers stood by until no longer needed.
10:35 a.m., 200 block of E. Broadway Ave.–An escort was conducted for the finance department.
11:35 a.m., 700 block of Magnolia Ave.–Officers responded on a request for newly issued ex–parte service. The ex–parte was issued.
12:10 p.m., 1900 block of W. Jesse James Rd.–Christopher Lynn, WM, 23, was arrested on an Independence warrant for stealing, with a bond of $4000. He was transported to Clay County Detention for extradition to Independence.
12:18 p.m., 500 block of Caldwell Ave.–An officer responded to speak with a party regarding harassing messages. She was advised of her options.
12:25 p.m., W. Jesse James Rd. and Crown Hill Rd.–Heather Mitchell, WF, 32, and Lindsey Durbin, WF, 28, were involved in a minor non–injury accident.
2:27 p.m., Lynn Rd. and Sherri Ln.–Officer assisted a party in corralling a cow back into a field.
2:37 p.m., Beverly Ave. and N. Kansas City Ave.–Officers assisted a semi–truck driver with leaving the area.

8:28 a.m., 200 block of Fine St.–An officer responded on a peace disturbance complaint. All parties involved were contacted and advised of their options.
9:13 a.m., 1700 Rainbow Blvd.–Officers responded on a report that a WM was passed out in the driver’s seat of a vehicle and blocking thru traffic to the facility. Ryan Leavitt, WM, 24, was arrested for driving while intoxicated, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance. He was booked in and issued a bond of $250.
10:25 a.m., 400 block of Zay Dr.–An officer responded on a report that feline had been struck by a vehicle and was still alive. The feline was transported to the Animal Hospital.
11:20 a.m., 1700 Rainbow Blvd.–Officers responded to check for a patient that was wandering around the facility with a possible head injury from an earlier vehicle accident. The area was checked, and the party was not located.
12:05 p.m., 400 block of E. Excelsior St.–An officer responded on a report that several juveniles were playing near a lot where a structure had recently burned down. The juveniles were contacted and advised to move from the area.
1:51 p.m., Isley Blvd. and Regent Ave.–An officer requested a report for a warrant arrest that occurred at a different date and time.

11:30 a.m., 300 block of S. Kansas City Ave.–An officer responded to take a report for vandalism to a vehicle.
3:58 p.m., 1000 block of Rowell Ave.– A BM, 26, and a WF,25, were arrested and placed on a 24–hour investigative hold for tampering. Two vehicles reported stolen out of Kansas City were recovered. Information was obtained for a report.
3:58 p.m., 500 block of Park Ave.–Officer responded to the residence to check the welfare of children in the home per Clay County Children’s Services request. The house was vacant, and nothing further was requested.
5:01 p.m., Crescent Ave. and St. Louis Ave.–Officer responded to the area on a suspicious 911 call. The area was checked, but the caller was not located.
5:23 p.m., 1200 block of St. Louis Ave.–Officers responded to the area in regard to a disgruntled 911 caller. It was determined that a WM, 68, was armed and threatening to shoot law enforcement and harm himself. The party was detained without incident and transported to the hospital on a 96–hour psychiatric hold.
6:19 p.m., 1500 block of Kearney Rd.–Officer spoke with a party regarding road rage. Information was obtained. The suspect vehicle was not located.
8:14 a.m., 200 block of N. Jesse James Rd.–Officers responded to Bank Midwest on a report of a burglary in progress. It was determined to be a service technician and no crime had occurred.
9:55 a.m., 500 block of St. Louis Ave.–Officers responded to Pour Boys on a report of an unwanted party. A WF, 30, was trespassed from the property.
11:00 p.m., 500 block of Summit St.–Officers responded with the Fire Department on a medical call and stood by until no longer needed.

12:10 p.m., 2000 block of W. Jesse James Rd.–An officer stood by while the Clay County Children’s Division conducted an interview. An ambulance was requested for a sick infant and child was transported to Children’s Mercy.
1:51 p.m., 300 block of S. Main St.–Miguel Love, BM, 26 was arrested on 7 Kansas City warrants and one Kansas City questioning advisory. He was booked and incarcerated pending extradition.
1:57 p.m., 300 block of S. Main St.–Erin Bisby, WF, 25 was arrested on a Carroll County, MO warrant for failure to appear for stealing. Her bond was set at $5000. She was booked and incarcerated pending extradition.
